Buck Boylan, a spirited and first time author, has completed his new book “The Humorous Side of Trucking”: an enjoyable and lighthearted collection of real life obstacles and experiences.
Buck Boylan is a free spirited truck driving steel worker. He played with Tonka toys as a small child as he grew up; he turned that childhood fantasy into an adult lifestyle, dangerous - but fun. With thirty years of scuba diving, living on house boats, motorcycle riding, to go along with being a heavy equipment operator and truck driver, his humorous tales can keep readers laughing for hours. Living in Maryland, he still drives those big trucks and is working on another new book coming out soon. His written works have appeared in many national magazines as well as several local newspaper editorial columns. He also was the editor for a monthly newsletter at Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point, Maryland.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Buck Boylan’s sixteen short stories is comical collection of a truck driver’s adventures.
The book begins with a look back at the truck driving school he attended. He recalls his real life learning experiences on how to be a professional tractor trailer driver with very little guidance beginning as a local driver, then hitting the open road as a long haul driver. His unflappable quest of living on a houseboat and scuba diving for extra money fuel his interesting life style. There are many practical lessons of determination and sheer will power to overcome life's obstacles with a sense of humor.
Readers who wish to experience this entertaining work can purchase“The Humorous Side of Trucking” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
