“This is the first time on planet earth, and on the SF Giants’ home field, that digital technology has been used to print an image by a machine on turf.” - Pete Davis, President and Founder of New Ground Technology.
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) April 09, 2016
New Ground Technology, Inc. introduced its patented TerraPrinter™ technology during the San Francisco Giants’ home opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The iconic SF Giants logo, prominently displayed in centerfield, is a first for the MLB franchise and a first for New Ground Technology. The 160 foot image was produced from the GPS guided TerraPrinter and cloud-based media.
New Ground’s patterning techniques are based on traditional lawn striping. TerraPrinter’s advanced digital technology enables the creation of complex, high-definition imagery on sports fields, golf courses, hotel properties, and other locations. According to New Ground, the promotional possibilities are growing all around.
