Perfumed Plume Awards™ For Fragrance Journalism Announces Winners of Six Awards at Inaugural Celebration
New York NY April 8 2016 (PRWEB) April 11, 2016 -- The sweet smell of success was in the air as the inaugural Perfumed Plume Awards™ For Fragrance Journalism celebrated six talented writers for their skill in capturing in words and pictures the fascinating world of scent. Six stories so masterfully crafted on the art of fragrance that all the senses are awakened just by the perfection of their prose.
The prestigious Salon at the new Rizzoli Bookstore in New York City was the perfect setting for this first-of its-kind event launching a new initiative. Attended by a who’s who in the fragrance and cosmetic world as well as journalists specializing in covering the over 5 billion dollar fragrance industry. Each of the six winners was presented with a check for $1,000.00 and a Brushed Chrome Apogee Pen by Cross which will become the official “Plume” award.
The Perfumed Plume Awards™ for Fragrance Journalism is a new and independent recognition of creative storytelling that enlightens, engages and educates the consumer on the art and craft of fragrance. This independent initiative has been conceived and is spearheaded by experienced fragrance industry insiders Mary Ellen Lapsansky and Lyn Leigh. The goal is to establish an all-inclusive awards program in the U.S. that specifically targets the many talented writers and visualists who bring to life the craft, the inspiration, the emotion and the sensory journey that is at the heart of fragrance creation.
