Web Series Filmmakers are Given Prize and Purpose at the MidWest American Web Series Festival
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) April 13, 2016 -- Digital entertainment has spawned a new home for the web series in the midwest. The MidWest American Web Series Festival will be held in the heart of America, Kansas City, MO. Located in downtown Kansas City which once was the movie distribution capital of North American film, the MWA Web Fest will host a 3 day event August 26-28th. Kansas City is the home of Walt Disney, Don Cheadle, Ed Asner, Paul Rudd and so many film industry influences. Celebrity judges will include Hollywood actor Richard Tyson(Kindergarten Cop, Something about Mary) Shawn Edwards(Fox movie critic) and more to be announced.
MWA Web Fest will be hosted by “Mr. WebTV” Jesse Pringle(Digital Filmmaker Magazine feature Jan. 2016, creator of the Award Winning WebTV series Kill Em All Kansas City) and Richard Tyson.
The digital age of filmmaking is upon us and with Kansas City, MO having so much history in the film industry and now testing ground for the fastest growing internet technology in the world, Google fiber, the MWA WebFest will open the doors and build relationships between the developers of digital entertainment and the world’s digital content distribution marketplace.
Friday, August 26 through Sunday, August 28 will roll out the red carpet and provide a unique filmmaking experience, historic tours, local attractions, parties, seminars and an awards banquet that will measure the largest in the film world.
