Greenberg Traurig Shareholder David J. Dykeman to Present at BIOMEDevice Conference in Boston

David J. Dykeman, patent attorney, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston, will present at the BIOMEDevice Conference, April 13-14, 2016, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Dykeman, patent attorney, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston, will present at the BIOMEDevice Conference, April 13-14, 2016, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

On April 14, from 2:45 - 4 p.m., Dykeman will moderate the panel, “Winning Over the Hospital Value Analysis Committees,” which will cover:

  • The changing marketplace and how to position medical devices in a tight economic environment;
  • What hospitals in the U.S. and Europe are looking for;
  • Medical devices and assessing their value from a physician standpoint;
  • Value-added services in medical devices; and
  • Understanding the necessity of usability and how it can determine widespread adoption.

Panelists include: Eric T. Pierce, MD, PhD, Physician Director of Anesthesia Bioengineering, Supply & Technical Support, Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital; Michael Fraai, Executive Director-Biomedical Engineering & Device Integration, Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and David J. Berkowitz, Vice President, Healthcare Insights and Analytics, ECRI Institute.

With 20 years of experience in patents, IP, and licensing, Dykeman focuses his practice on securing strategic worldwide IP protection and related business strategy for high-tech clients, with particular expertise in medical devices, life sciences, biotechnology, and healthcare IT.
