We’re so ecstatic about our upcoming Spring tour, ... we love to do the most: perform and connect with our old and new fans. We enjoy working with other talented artists and look forward to sharing the same stage as Butch Trucks and the Freight Train Band

The Ries Brothers, a young Alternative Pop and Rock duo from Clearwater, FL, who have twice toured nationally with the iconic band CHICAGO, will launch their U.S. spring tour beginning April 21. The Ries Brothers, Charlie (20) and Kevin (17), will join the legendary Butch Trucks (drummer of the Allman Brothers) and The Freight Train Band when their electrifying tour debuts in Greenville, South Carolina and travels to more than 12 U.S. cities.
The Ries Brothers’ rise to success has been their creative genius and aptitude with playing multiple instruments. The band leaves fans amazed as older brother Charlie, the lead vocalist, simultaneously plays drums and keyboard bass, while Kevin plays guitar and provides background vocals. Charlie’s unique ability to do this gives the duo a full sound.
The brothers distinct sound is influenced by many genres, including rock, blues, funk, and reggae. Their talent is also displayed through original lyrics they co-author and the music the brothers produce together.
The Ries Brothers’ highly - anticipated tour with Butch Trucks and The Freight Train Band adds to their impressive resume of live performances. The Ries Brothers’ stellar accomplishments as music artists is a testament to their talents. In addition to touring with CHICAGO twice, they have opened for other standouts such as Daughtry, David Cook, Los Lonely Boys, REO Speedwagon, Little River Band and The Family Stone as well as appearing at many music festivals, including a recent appearance at the Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa. One of the band’s recent performances was joining The Wilson Van, a brother band that includes Golden Globe nominated actor Patrick Wilson. The show benefited The Wilson Family Foundation which assists injured veterans, and provides music scholarships to students in need and supports children's charities.
Music is in the blood for The Ries Brothers, as their grandfather Robert Surga was a well-known bass player in Chicago. He also opened for the Beatles in Comiskey Park, played with Sonny & Cher, John Denver and The Jackson Five, amongst other artists. Their grandfather and grandmother also both played in the Chicago Symphony.
“We’re so ecstatic about our upcoming Spring tour, which allows us to do what we love to do the most: perform and connect with our old and new fans. We enjoy working with other talented artists and look forward to sharing the same stage as Butch Trucks and the Freight Train Band,” The Ries Brothers said in a statement.
