MIAMI, Fla. (PRWEB) April 13, 2016
Greenberg Traurig Miami shareholders Mark P. Schnapp and Danielle Gonzalez have each been appointed to leadership roles within Women of Tomorrow, a charitable organization dedicated to connecting highly accomplished professional women with at-risk girls in public high schools to forge meaningful mentorship.
Schnapp, a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation practice, has been named to the South Florida Board of Directors for Women of Tomorrow. As a board member, Schnapp will help to further promote the organization’s mission and increase opportunities for mentorship and scholarships.
Gonzalez, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Real Estate practice, currently serves as a mentor and will further her involvement as a member of committees of the organization’s “Mentor’s Counsel.”
“I look forward to working with my fellow board members to continue the organization’s great work and reach more young women within our community,” Schnapp said. “I’m proud to represent Greenberg Traurig alongside Danielle, whose commitment as a mentor and committee member truly makes a difference in the lives of these young women.”
Women of Tomorrow currently mentors close to 4,000 at-risk girls in over 180 public high schools in approximately 62 cities in South Florida, Metropolitan Detroit and the Greater Philadelphia area through its network of more than 500 mentors.
“It is personally fulfilling to be a part of Women of Tomorrow as both a mentor and a Mentor’s Counsel committee member,” Gonzalez said. “I look forward to my continued involvement to further expand the organization’s reach.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Schnapp has 40 years of litigation experience, including seven years at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida, where he was Chief of the Criminal Division. Mark, who concentrates on white collar criminal matters, represents major companies in complex investigations, and has handled numerous jury and non-jury trials.
Gonzalez concentrates her practice in various areas of commercial real estate law. She represents national and Florida-based clients in connection with the acquisition, financing, leasing and disposition of retail, office, industrial and multifamily residential properties throughout the United States.
