Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Steve Bassin Advises Versazca Group in $13M Purchase of City Hall site in Edgewater
MIAMI, Fla. (PRWEB) April 13, 2016 -- Steve Bassin, a shareholder in the Miami Real Estate practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., recently represented the Verzasca Group in closing a $13 million land purchase on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami’s Edgewater district.
The deal includes 32,236 square feet of land at 2000 Biscayne Boulevard, the former site of the City Hall restaurant, as well as several small commercial tenants, which is planned for redevelopment. This acquisition presented several unique challenges and took more than 15 months to complete, including, an agreement by the seller to receive a portion of the purchase price in future condominium units expected to be built on the site. Bassin, with the assistance of Sivan Nisimov, an associate in the firm’s Miami Real Estate practice, handled all transaction-related aspects of the deal from start to finish.
“I am very pleased to have achieved this great result for the client,” Bassin said. “The deal terms we were able to achieve on this acquisition give the client significant flexibility in executing its business plan.”
Bassin is a commercial real estate attorney who represents developers, lenders and investors locally, as well as throughout the U.S. and abroad. He also has significant experience assisting foreign investors and companies to establish U.S. operations. His real estate experience includes negotiation and implementation of acquisitions, leasing, joint ventures, and financings.
