The top five category leaders for CRM prove competitive, with a tie for second and third place... Zoho CRM, however, was able to take the top spot thanks to its high scores for all data points.

Cloud-based business apps marketplace GetApp has released its Q2 2016 ranking of the top CRM solutions, with new additions to the list and different leaders this quarter. Zoho CRM clinched the top spot for the first time ever, while Teamgate remained strong in second. Salesforce stood its ground at number three. New to the list this quarter are amoCRM in 8th, and Prosperworks CRM in 17th, with HubSpot CRM debuting in 20th place.
The ranking is meant to be a starting point when looking for the leading cloud-based CRM applications on the market, with an emphasis on solutions for small and mid-sized business owners.
Made up of five data points, each worth 20 points, the highest score an app can receive is 100. These data points are security, media presence, integrations, mobile app availability, and user reviews.
“The top five category leaders for CRM prove competitive, with a tie for second and third place between Teamgate and Salesforce, and Insightly and Pipedrive, respectively. Security scores were the deciding factor that put Teamgate ahead of Salesforce, and Insightly ahead of Pipedrive. Zoho CRM, however, was able to take the top spot thanks to its high scores for all data points,” says Suzie Blaszkiewicz, researcher and project manager in charge of the ranking.
