Avitus Group Celebrates Grand Opening of Anchorage Operations Center & Fairbanks Office; Event Headlined by Anchorage Chamber, AEDC and Alaska's Congressional Delegation
Anchorage, Alaska (PRWEB) April 15, 2016 -- "April 12th, 2016 marks an important day in company history as Avitus Group officially expands our footprint north to Alaska," says Avitus Group Public Relations Manager Dianne Parker. "A special thank you to the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Anchorage and the state of Alaska for inviting us with open arms into the Alaska business community."
Avitus Group, one of the largest employers in the co-employment industry nationwide, acquired Swan Employer Services in July, 2015 and retained all 20+ employees. Avitus Group has spent the past few months merging the companies together and rolling out enhanced service offerings. Swan Employer Services specialized solely in the co-employment service. Avitus Group will continue offering the co-employment service, as well as an entire suite of services designed to help businesses simplify, strengthen and grow. Avitus Group's service offerings include co-employment, accounting, business tax planning and preparation, payroll, human resources, risk and safety management, recruiting, information technology, marketing and branding and international planning.
Avitus Group Presidents, Don Reile and Ken Balster officially cut the ribbon in a ceremony led by Anchorage Chamber of Commerce President, Bruce Bustamante. The event kicked off with a toast from Anchorage Economic Development Corporation President & CEO Bill Popp and wrapped up with a letter of support from Alaska's U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski and an official welcome to the Alaska business community from representatives from U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan's office and Congressman Don Young's office. The Chairman of Avitus Companies Willie Chrans, recognized the Founder of Swan Employer Services for building his business in Alaska starting in 1998.
"We’re very grateful to have met Hank Swan of Swan Employer Services. We’re very grateful for the talented staff we retained and for the newest members of team Avitus Group. We've already begun the hiring process in Alaska as we expand our business," says Chrans. "This growth means opportunities for advancement within the company for current employees, as well as good-paying jobs for those who are out there looking for employment."
"Avitus Group opened its doors in 1996 in Billings, Montana. Swan Employer Services opened its doors in 1998 in Anchorage, meaning we have a strong foundation here in Alaska and nearly 40 years of combined experience serving the business community," says Founder of Swan Employer Services, Hank Swan. "The acquisition brings together the best of what our two companies have to offer, and we're excited to role out our expanded line of service offerings designed to help businesses thrive and meet their goals. I would highly recommend Avitus Group to any business or organization."
Avitus Group has regional offices and operations centers across the U.S. from coast to coast, with corporate headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Alaska's entrepreneurial spirit, business friendly tax climate and an acquisition opportunity with Swan Employer Services sparked Avitus Group's interest in the state.
"Business success can’t start without a dream, and Avitus Group is here to help harness all of the necessary, yet burdensome administrative tasks that come with the big dreams that successful entrepreneurs have," says President of Avitus Payroll Services, Inc. and Avitus Business Services, Inc. Ken Balster. "We truly help businesses simplify, strengthen and grow."
Avitus Group marked the occasion by launching its 2016 Alaska giving campaign with a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska helps develop more college grads, community leaders and entrepreneurs. The $1,500 donation goes toward the organization's "Over the Edge" campaign, which allows one person for every $1,000 donated, to rappel over the edge of Inlet Towers Hotel in downtown Anchorage in July. Avitus Group is the first business to commit to send someone over the edge to help BBBS of Alaska. Team Avitus Group has a goal of raising a total of $2,000. Alaska Payroll Manager KaSandra Gore, will be rappelling over the edge of Inlet Towers Hotel in downtown Anchorage. Additionally, Avitus Group is challenging other Alaska businesses to donate $1,000 and send someone over the edge.
"Avitus Group makes it a priority to give back to the communities we’re lucky enough to live, work and play in. A focus on today’s youth is critically important to tomorrow’s business leaders, and we feel this organization aligns well with our giving goals. We're also happy to have BBBS of Alaska as a valued member of Avitus Group," says Avitus, Inc. President Don Reile.
