Plixer to Present Visibility into Encrypted Traffic Webcast
KENNEBUNK, ME (PRWEB) April 16, 2016 -- Plixer International, a leading security analytics company, announced today that it will be holding a webcast on how to gain visibility into encrypted traffic. The volume of encrypted traffic has tripled in less than a year and the number of connections to sites like Akamai and Amazon AWS has grown at nearly the same rate. With so many connections on port 443 headed to content delivery networks, technologies like traditional NetFlow have lost much of their ability to provide insight. This webcast discusses emerging technologies in SSL/TLS inspection and DNS monitoring, which are being used to regain visibility into encrypted traffic.
“Some governments are protecting the end users’ privacy rights to the point where looking too deeply into their traffic has become illegal,” said Michael Patterson, CEO of Plixer. “Although SSL/TLS inspection has been implemented by many security companies, IT professionals in countries like Germany can’t enable it. We have found a great compromise that gives IT what they need without breaking any laws.”
To add context related to the flows being reported on, Plixer will explain how to correlate usernames to IP addresses using Microsoft Active Directory and Cisco ISE. Usernames combined with the methods described in this webcast will allow security and network professionals to regain the visibility that is currently being lost.
The webcast will be held at 2 PM EDT on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. To sign up for the webcast, visit: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6744012173028099073
