"Through this partnership, families are given the ability to transition from destructive farming techniques to a Forest Garden system that not only sustains and empowers them but changes their lives forever.” said VP of Sales and Marketing Megan Pierson.

Trex Outdoor Furniture is excited to announce their partnership with Trees for the Future just in time for Earth Day, 2016.

In an effort to help keep our world green, Trex Outdoor Furniture commits to work with Trees for the Future to plant two new trees for every item of Trex Outdoor Furniture sold between April 18 and April 23, 2016. This increased planting drive is meant to highlight the significance of Earth Day.

Two trees will be planted for every item sold, not just Trex’s popular chairs. Everything from chairs and tables to ottomans and planters will be included in an effort to make as large of an impact as possible.

Apart from the Earth Day tree planting drive, Trex Outdoor Furniture is pleased to continue planting one new tree for every chair sold as an ongoing initiative. Trex Outdoor Furniture is already revered for their dedication to high-quality goods made from sustainable products; they intend to up their impact on the environment through this partnership.

“Planting trees not only betters the environment and combats climate change, but with Trees for the Future's Forest Garden Program, each donation helps improve the livelihoods of thousands of farming families across Africa,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Megan Pierson. “Each Forest Garden offsets tons (literally TONS) of carbon, provides nutritious food for families, and provides a sustainable income for these farmers. Through this partnership, families are given the ability to transition from destructive farming techniques to a Forest Garden system that not only sustains and empowers them but changes their lives forever.”

The partnership is active now, and applies to all new purchases. To learn more, please visit http://trees.org/ and http://www.treesforthefuture.org/os/. Follow Trees for the Future’s Earth Day campaign on social media by using #letsgetplanting.

About Trees for the Future
Trees for the Future is a non-profit program born out of firsthand experience of what happens when man takes nature for granted. In the 1970’s, Trees for the Future’s founders Dave & Grace Deppner were moved by the impact of illegal logging and unsustainable land management systems in the Philippines. Together with community leaders, the pair found a way to offer hope to poverty stricken families while reviving abandoned and degraded land. By providing technical training, on site management, and bags of tree seed, Trees for the Future has been able to provide jobs, incomes, and clean air to 19 different countries. With millions of trees planted and thousands of lives changes, Trees for the Future is proud to continue making a difference in the environment and lives of local farmers around the world
