JMR’s launch of their new products continues the company’s innovative 34-year history as both a manufacturer and systems integrator of high performance, massively scalable and extremely reliable storage desktop and rackmount solutions. The flood of products from JMR’s U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing teams comes in response to demand from movie studios, broadcasters, cinematographers, post houses and the like, from acquisition-to-delivery, while simultaneously utilizing resources scattered across the globe.

JMR BlueStore SHARE
JMR’s new BlueStor™ SHARE™ Networked Storage Server is the perfect storage complement to growing small to medium size studios. JMR DataMover
The JMR DataMover appliance is a high speed enterprise class data mover that operates at near line speed and is independent of file size or depth of directory nesting. The system includes the capability to compress, de-duplicate, encrypt, and difference data, in virtually any combination, during data movement. All of these features operate at full bandwidth, independent of any latency introduced by the distance between the source and destination.
JMR ProBracket

JMR will also be showcasing two additional products at NAB. Their new SiloStor™ is a unique NVMe SSD plug-in card that’s a full-length, half-height PCIe x8 drive that adds 2TB or more of high-availability storage to any server, computer or work station using the latest flash NAND technology. It occupies a x8 PCIe slot and may be connected via Thunderbolt® PCIe expansion to those computers offering this capability. Typical random 4K read speed is 90,000 IOPS (sequential read speed of 2,150 MB/s) with a write speed of 70,000 IOPS (sequential write speed of 1,500 MB/s).
The second product, available later in the year, is a portable Thunderbolt/RAID desktop and rackmount workstation for the Mac Mini. Perfect for ingest and dailies, the Lightning LTNG-XD-8-MMDT desktop/DI cart workstation transforms the Mac Mini into a powerful DI workstation, complete with an optional 8” LCD flip-up monitor for on-site viewing. The Mac Mini installs via an easy slide-in sled from the rear, and the desktop provides front-panel USB3 and audio I/O and media card reader, while the rear panel provides all other Mac connections. An internal Thunderbolt controller and 2-slot PCIe (x8 full-height slots) expander with an internal 6Gb SAS RAID controller are standard, as well as eight 3.5” hot-swappable disk drive bays to provide up to 64TB of native disk storage capacity (RAID 0/1/4/5/6/40/50/60). The LTNG-XD-8-MM2U rackmount version will also be shown and is ideally suited for DI carts or machine room operations.
