The Meatball Chronicles Brings Food and Foodies Together: A Benefit For All Who Love and Need to Eat
Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- "You’re dealt a hand of cards when you’re born and it’s your job to figure out how to use them,” says Debrianna Mansini, the acclaimed Santa Fe actress. “I wanted the show to be about how I decided to play my hand. I play it with food. It’s who I am and what I do.”
After seeing a piece of theatre about love, life, and Italian food - chances are you’re going to be more than a little hungry. Santa Fe favorite, Restaurant Martín, has stepped up to the plate and paired with Debrianna Mansini’s one-woman show, The Meatball Chronicles, to bring the stories and recipes from the stage to your stomach.
Mansini, who is all about sharing the love of food, decided to include another group that feels the same but shows that love in another way. Enter Kitchen Angels. Kitchen Angels serves homebound individuals that are under the age of 60 and living with a chronic or terminal illness, persons 60 years of age and over who are having a severe medical crisis, and dependents (children under the age of 12) of single parent clients. Tailoring their meals to meet the special dietary needs of each of their clients, angels deliver meals right to their door.
“In my estimation, a better partnership could not be had. To me, there is no greater joy, nor in times of crisis, no greater need for a lovingly prepared meal. It is my greatest pleasure in life and I am thrilled to be providing this benefit for our community,” says Mansini. “Please come and support us on May 14th.” The benefit ticket price will include the show and a special afterparty with yummies, and the outstanding crooning of ATC student Max Manzanares, son of the great and talented musician, David Manzanares. “I saw Max performing at an opening and thought, who is that young Harry Connick, Jr. kid singing Frank Sinatra? It’s a perfect fit!”
Everyone involved is happy.
"We are thrilled to partner with Debrianna Mansini and her production "The Meatball Chronicles" by offering a special menu on the nights of her show.” says Jennifer Rios, general manager of Restaurant Martin. “The special menu will showcase Italian cuisine and our spin on some of the dishes she is most passionate about. This is a perfect partnership for us as we are most passionate about food and the blending her production features is passion and food - right up our alley!”
