VANCOUVER, CANADA (PRWEB) April 19, 2016
Hundreds of fertility experts from around the world will be arriving in Vancouver for the internationally renowned Integrative Fertility Symposium (https://ifsymposium.com/) April 28th to May 1st, 2016.
"I’m honoured to be presenting at this prestigious conference," says keynote speaker Jill Blakeway, author of bestselling 'Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility.' "Along with sky-high housing prices, Vancouver is becoming recognized internationally as a mecca for integrated fertility treatment thanks, in large part, to the pioneering work by symposium co-chair and organizer Dr Lorne Brown."
This conference represents the culmination of Dr Lorne Brown’s work over the last decade promoting integrative fertility care and the healthy baby approach. Founder and medical director of Acubalance Wellness Centre and author of The Acubalance Fertility Diet, Dr Brown is known world-wide for his ground breaking work as an educator and advocate for integrative fertility care.
He was the first Canadian to become a board certified Fellow and to serve on the board of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) and has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Chinese Reproductive Medicine in North America through founding Pro D Seminars and Medigogy.com -- the largest online sources for continuing education and seminars for Chinese Medicine reproductive health.
"Jill has done a tremendous amount to raise awareness about acupuncture and integrative fertility care," says Dr Brown. "I recommend her book, Making Babies, to all my patients, and I’m thrilled people will be able to hear her speak in person."
Called one of NYC’s top acupuncturists and a "fertility goddess" by the NYT, Jill has appeared on The Dr. Oz Show, CNN, the Early Show, Good Morning America, NBC news, ABC News, Fox News, the Real Housewives of New York, and The Talk and has been quoted in New York Magazine, the New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, Elle, W and Town & Country to name but a few. Jill was also the first acupuncturist to give a TEDTalk, at TEDGlobal in 2012.
Making Babies (co-authored with reproductive endocrinologist Sami David MD) brings together the best of Western and Eastern reproductive medicine. In the book Jill helps women identify their fertility type and focus on the strategies most helpful to treating their own type.
- Choosing fertility-promoting foods,
- Properly predicting the best time to conceive (hint: the answer is not 14 days after your last period began),
- Accurately pinpointing the cause of your fertility problems,
- Making specific and sometimes surprising lifestyle choices, like exercising less, taking cough medicine, and
- Getting acupuncture along with IVF.
Jill will be giving a PUBLIC TALK Sunday, May 1st, 4 PM at Harbour Centre.
