CEV Multimedia Joins Forces With Express Employment Professionals on Two Career-Focused Certifications
Lubbock, Texas (PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- To thrive in today’s modern, competitive workplace and postsecondary environments, students must learn and retain core technology and business skills. No longer a “nice to have,” employers and higher education providers expect these skills. To that end, CEV Multimedia has partnered with Express Employment Professionals on two certifications that help high school students prepare for college and career.
The Career Preparedness Certification equips students with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace or postsecondary education. The certification addresses major topics, including higher learning, the job-seeking process, financial literacy, workplace etiquette and the Microsoft® Office Suite. Students complete 23 modules and a 100-question final exam to earn the certification.
Through the Business Office Technology Certification, students gain a solid understanding of current and emerging technologies in today’s workplace. The certification addresses topics such as computers, operating systems and networking, telecommunications, business documents, Web and business ethics, and the Microsoft® Office Suite. Fifteen modules and a 100-question exam prepare students for the modern workplace.
“Mapping out a career path, finding job openings and landing a quality job can be an overwhelming process,” said Bob Funk, CEO and Founder of Express Employment Professionals. “We want to empower the next generation to make knowledgeable decisions about education and careers, and this partnership with CEV Multimedia is a powerful stepping stone in helping students discover and achieve their career goals.”
Students and educators access the certifications through iCEV, an online platform offering practical, interactive learning with professional demonstrations to prepare students for postsecondary education and high-skill, high-demand careers. Educators can quickly monitor, track and engage students directly through the platform’s interactive lessons.
“We built these lessons and certifications to have a tangible, immediate impact on students as they plan for what comes after high school, whether that’s attending college or joining the workforce,” said Dusty Moore, iCEV president. “The expertise of Express Employment Professionals has been invaluable as we identified core skills and competencies to include in the curricula.”
