Sun Up Brewing, Phoenix Firefighters Create Special Ale For Baja Beer Fest to Raise Money For Northwest Firefighters Charities
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- Sun Up Brewing Company has announced a unique collaboration with the Phoenix Fire Department. Sun Up Brewing has developed an Ale beer specifically for the Baja Beer Fest later this month in Tucson.
Phoenix Fire Firefighters and home brewers, Chris Fleming and Jordan Redfield, spent a day brewing a Rye IPA in a seven-barrel system, along with Sun Up brewmeister Uwe Boer and brewer Ross Perz.
The Baja Beer Fest, an Arizona Craft Brewer’s Guild event, is all about assisting Tucson Firefighters raise money for the Northwest Firefighters Charities.
This event is a celebration of craft beer with of 50 breweries and over 200 craft beers on tap, featuring a collaboration of beers from firefighters representing Northwest Firefighters Charities.
Home brewers, Fleming and Redfield are not only veteran Phoenix Fire Fighters, they also train firefighters, as well as aspiring firefighters, at the Grape Ape training center located on 1720 W. Buchanan in Phoenix. For more info, find them on Facebook.
Baja Beer Fest is Saturday, April 23rd from 5 to 9 pm at Rillito Park in Tucson, Arizona. Purchasing early bird or VIP tickets can get you in the door an hour before the general public.
