Clearwater, Fla. (PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- Kurt Schwarz has been announced as the new Vice President of Sales with Boyd Industries. Schwarz’s selection comes on the heels of a steady industry rise for the company, which just received recognition by Orthotown Magazine for its excellence in patient chairs and stools for the third consecutive year.
Schwarz’s experience and skills in sales management made him an ideal candidate to manage the growing operational dynamics of the specialty dental and medical operatory equipment manufacturer. Schwarz received his MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Industries from the University of Illinois.
Schwarz is an accomplished sales executive with over 25 years of management experience in the dental, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries. Early in his career, he held senior sales management roles at Henry Schein Dental and Hu-Friedy where he managed inside and field-based sales teams, customer service departments and CRM database management. Employing solutions-based selling techniques, his teams consistently exceeded sales budgets for the products they represented. In a prior position at Akorn Pharmaceuticals, Schwarz led a sales organization of over 80 sales and customer service professionals – with his leadership, the team consistently exceeded performance goals including volume, revenue and profit margins. Additionally, he led the successful product launch of the company’s Akten ophthalmic gel. Most recently, Kurt was the senior sales consultant for USCellular, helping the company develop new sales strategies in the highly competitive cellular phone market. He was responsible for a sales organization of over 150 team members and managers in channel management.
“Kurt will be a vibrant leader while serving in his new role,” said Boyd CEO Adrian LaTrace. “He has a consistent track record, and a personal approach to sales which reflects Boyd’s cultural attributes, both of which confirm he will be a great fit for the company.”
As the new Boyd Industries Vice President of Sales, Schwarz’s duties will include:
• Growing the top line of the business by leading Boyd’s domestic and international sales organizations;
• Creating and implementing a plan to broaden the geographic reach of Boyd’s sales team;
• Exploring new dental products market opportunities;
• Strengthening Boyd’s customer service performance.
As part of his role as VP of Sales, Schwarz will report directly to LaTrace.
“Dental and medical equipment is a swiftly-growing industry, which is becoming more and more modernized as technology evolves,” said Schwarz, “I look forward to helping Boyd continue to be a well-known leader in specialty equipment while successfully navigating this new market.”
Boyd provides exam/treatment chairs, surgical tables, doctor/assistant seating, operatory lighting, sterilization centers, custom cabinetry, delivery systems, and video game consoles (to help entertain and relax adolescent patients of dentists, and sometimes their parents) to dentists across the United States.
Boyd works closely with doctors and their office designers to make certain that its furniture and fixtures provide the combination of efficiency, comfort, and attractiveness required for a successful modern practice.
