Education is an integral part of an empowered life and it’s our honor to be a part of the educational pursuits of SEALs and their families,” said Robin King, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.

The Navy SEAL Foundation, the leading national non-profit organization serving the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and its families, is pleased to announce the award of 303 new scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. Scholarship winners include active-duty SEALs, active-duty Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), their spouses and children, and support personnel assigned to NSW commands. These scholarships, totaling $1,138,500.00, will be used for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Navy SEAL Foundation scholarships are open to qualified members of the Naval Special Warfare community. This year’s scholarship application process began in January and closed in March. Submissions are reviewed by an independent panel of judges including scholars, business leaders and community members.

When asked about the applicants one judge remarked, “There is so much quality and energy that goes into the applications. Overall, they are all amazing, well-done, thorough and deserving.”

Since its formation in 2000, the Navy SEAL Foundation has included academic scholarships as part of its program offerings and has awarded more than $5 million dollars in scholarships to date, making it the leading supporter of NSW academic scholarships in the non-profit sector.

“Education is an integral part of an empowered life and it’s our honor to be a part of the educational pursuits of SEALs and their families,” said Robin King, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.
