Additionally, the company tied with Gorman-Rupp Co. for the highest average score over the past four quarters in the small cap division of Forbes 100 Most Trustworthy Companies in America.
The list was created by MSCI ESG Research after screening 2,500 publicly-traded, non-financial companies in America with market caps of $250 million or more. Criteria for ranking was based on solid corporate governance and consistent transparency of accounting practices.
According to PetMed Express Marketing Director, Alex Irvin, “PetMed Express operates with the highest level of integrity and honesty. From our corporate operations to our customer service, we pride ourselves on doing the right things for the right reasons.“
Companies that took the top spots were those with the strongest “Aggressive Accounting and Governance Risk” (AGRs). The AGR is determined by factors such as bankruptcy risk, regulatory actions, revenue and expense recognition methods, and amended filings. Those companies with fewest of these high-risk behaviors ranked highest on the list of the 100 Most Trustworthy Companies in America.
