In order to provide a more enriching experience for Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) members and vendors at conferences; offer more networking opportunities; and create more educational session choices, the RBMA is launching RBMA PARADIGM, a new annual conference for radiology leaders. PARADIGM will replace these two annual meetings: the Radiology Summit and Fall Educational Conference.
“RBMA is making a bold leap by changing and realigning the existing educational structure while maintaining, or exceeding, the quality that members expect from us. The time is now to create one meeting with a traditional exhibit hall,” said Suzanne Taylor, FRBMA, president of the RBMA Board of Directors.
RBMA PARADIGM will be held April 23-26, 2017, at the Sheraton Grand in Chicago, a site carefully chosen for the number of cultural and entertainment offerings nearby.
“Extensive planning went into creating RBMA PARADIGM to ensure the educational offerings, the exhibit hall and the setting will indeed deliver an exceptional experience,” said Kimberly Mydland, RBMA Director of Education and Meetings. “In keeping with the RBMA’s motto of progress through sharing, unique events where members can learn from each other will also be part of this new annual conference format.”
Education and professional development have been at the heart of the RBMA’s mission since the association was first formed in 1968, and RBMA PARADIGM will serve these needs in a structure better suited for today’s radiology managers. The exhibit hall will house more industry vendors under one roof for a one-stop shopping experience, and more choices in educational sessions will enhance and personalize learning. For vendors, the new format will allow them to reach more potential customers while reducing expenses for an overall better return on their investment.
In addition to the RBMA PARADIGM one annual meeting, RBMA will continue offering specialty seminars including its two popular programs – the ACR-RBMA Practice Leaders Forum and Building Better Radiology Marketing Programs. Furthermore, RBMA is developing a new a fall legal and legislative seminar for 2017.
“We are so excited about these changes that will bring the very best of the RBMA annual conferences together in one extraordinary event,” said Michael R. Mabry, RBMA Executive Director. “We hope to see everyone next year in Chicago.”
The Radiology Business Management Association is a national not-for-profit association providing members with applied business information and intelligence applicable in any radiology setting. The RBMA has approximately 2,300 members involved in various management capacities in private practices, academic radiology groups, imaging centers and hospitals. The RBMA continues to be recognized as the leader for radiology-specific educational programs, products and services, publications and data.
