Nova Southeastern's Chris Page wins HERO Sports Performance of the Year
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 22, 2016 -- HERO Sports announced Nova Southeastern guard Chris Page as the winner of the D2 Men’s Basketball Performance of the Year for his effort against Barry University on February 13th.
Page tallied 41 points, four rebounds and three assists in a 105-91 win over Barry University. Page earned the honor by securing 68% (879 votes) of the fan vote in the HERO Sports Performance of the Year poll.
Nova Southeastern Head Coach Gary Tuell summarized Page’s performance back in February.
"Chris had 41 points and ran the team beautifully. He was our head out there, making decisions and moving the ball to the right people, keeping us balanced and getting us into our offense. He's such a tough guy to guard because he can get to the rim or make the three,” said Tuell.
Oklahoma Christian junior John Moon finished second in the poll with 20% (258 votes) of the vote for two outstanding performances; a 38 point, 12 rebound, six block outing against Southern Nazarene in November, and a 50 point, eight rebound effort in a win over Oklahoma Panhandle in February.
