Pitt-Greensburg's Marcus Thomas is Awarded HERO Sports Performance of the Year
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 22, 2016 -- HERO Sports announced University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg guard Marcus Thomas as the winner of the D3 Men’s Basketball Performance of the Year for his effort on February 24th against Medaille College.
Thomas tallied 13 points, 21 rebounds and eight assists in the 80-66 victory over Medaille. Thomas also netted the 1,000th point of his career in the same game.
Thomas earned the honor by securing 47% (2,670 votes) of the fan vote in the HERO Sports Performance of the Year poll.
Marcus Thomas of Rosemont College finished in second place with 37% (2,082 votes) of the vote for his 17 point, 10 rebound, 15 assist triple-double over Marywood on February 13th.
