SpillVak, a Premier Fluid Absorbent Company, to be Lead Sponsor for #1 US Ranked Cruiserweight, BJ Flores in His Return to Heavyweight
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) May 16, 2016 -- Premier fluid absorbent company, SpillVak, has reached an agreement with #1 cruiserweight boxer, BJ Flores, to be his lead sponsor for his upcoming fight on May 21 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, NV. As a result, BJ. is changing his colors from red and white to SpillVak’s iconic orange and green.
"BJ Flores and SpillVak are a perfect match for each other," said Trent Whatcott, Director of Marketing for SpillVak, "BJ is One Tough Sucker in the ring, going 32-2 in his career. Outside of the ring however, BJ wouldn't hurt a fly. SpillVak is fierce on fluid spills, but is gentle on the environment; exceeding EPA leachate standards for both land and water. Both are tough in the ring and gentle by nature."
“I have had a good relationship with SpillVak for some time," reports BJ. "I did a commercial for them as a part of their SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) exhibit. I was amazed to see the product in action”, said BJ, “I thought it was a really neat concept; You’re dumping real antifreeze and oil on the ground. I thought they would mop it up first and put SpillVak over it, but they just put it right on the spill, swept it right up and it was fascinating. SpillVak is on to something.”
Coming off a controversial decision loss for the WBA world interim title, BJ is looking forward to getting back into the ring and onto his next chapter. Many boxing writers and fans thought Olympian and 2-time world champion Beibut Shumenov would dominate the older version of BJ Flores, but in a fight that was closely contested, the majority of viewers saw the stronger Flores continually chase and out-land Shumenov in 8 of the 12 rounds only to lose a close decision. Flores looks at this as "water under the bridge" and vows to return more focused and determined than ever before. Flores commented, "the decision didn't go my way but I know I can beat anyone in the world when I come in 100% focused."
BJ commented that he is looking forward to moving to heavyweight, as the fighters will not run like many cruiserweights have in the past. “They’re going to stay there and try to knock me out and that’s exactly what I want’” said BJ, “It’s going to play exactly into my hands because with my speed and my athleticism I’m going to be able to set them up. If a guy is not running away, that only gives him one option; he’s got to fight.”
Outside of the ring, BJ was chosen to call the fights for the 2016 Summer Olympics and do the after-fight analysis as well. He also signed an extension to his contract with NBC and will be working ringside again in 2016 with Marv Albert and Sugar Ray Leonard with Premier Boxing Championships on the NBC Sports Network. As BJ commented, “Boxing’s Back.”
SpillVak is thrilled to have BJ as a member of the team!
