(PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- Taiwan Tourism Bureau in San Francisco will be promoting one of its major tourism themes, “Time for Taiwan”- LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), through supporting the 2016 Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic Golf Tournament between April 20-24 at the Lake Merced Golf Club, Daly City, California. A Taiwan Tourism Pavilion will be set up at the event welcoming all the fans who are cheering for the Taiwanese players and providing Taiwan golfing information.
This is the third annual tournament held for this world class LPGA classic. Professional players from Taiwan including Wei-Ling Hsu, Tzu-Chi Lin, and Ssu-Chia Cheng along with amateur players Yu-Sang Hou and Jo-Hua Hung, will compete against other top players from around the world. The Taiwan Tourism Pavilion is designed to promote the Taiwan LOHAS and gourmet food culture. A giant Soup Dumpling model display will be featured as an interactive piece for visitors to take pictures inside the giant case holding the movable giant dumplings, and experience the charm of Taiwan in the most engaging and fun way! Mr. Oh! Bear, the Taiwan Tourism Ambassador, will also be greeting all the families and fans with golf towel and Oh!Bear tattoo sticker giveaways to cheer for all the Taiwanese players.
According to Emily Chen, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in San Francisco, the Bureau has been devoting much effort into developing and promoting golfing as the third category of its leisure tourism resources. Road signs for golfing have been set up, and a web page dedicated to golfing is available under the LOHAS tourism theme on the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s official website, to provide useful information for international travelers; Taiwan Golfing Maps have been published in 5 different languages. These developments are meant for combining sports activities and leisure to enrich the LOHAS culture. Golfing in Taiwan provides travelers with a high quality experience at a low cost in the beautiful nature; world class local cuisines as well as hot springs are also available for further relaxation of the mind and body.
