LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) April 20, 2016
Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Susan L. Heller has been named to the Daily Journal’s list of Top Women Lawyers in California for 2016. This is Susan’s second time being named to this prestigious list, with a previous recognition in 2011. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices, Susan is chair of the firm’s Global Trademarks and Brand Management Group and co-chair of the firm’s Global Women’s Initiative.
The Daily Journal has also recognized Susan as a “Top Intellectual Property Lawyer” in California from 2003-2015 and as one of the Top 100 lawyers in California. This recognition follows Susan’s recent selection to Law360’s 2016 Intellectual Property Editorial Advisory Board for the fifth time. Notably, she was also named one of Law360’s Ten “Most Admired Attorneys in 2010” in IP.
Susan is consistently recognized as having one of the preeminent and internationally recognized trademark practices in the country and for being a game-changer. When the stakes are high and critical brands are at risk, Fortune 500 companies, world-champion athletes, high-net-worth individuals, A-list celebrities, and highly visible pre-IPO companies rely on Susan for her strategic thought leadership and counsel, honed by her three decades of experience. At the forefront of the strategic management and monetization of big name brands on a worldwide level, she is known for developing cutting-edge branding strategies and solutions, most notably in "bet-the brand," high stakes trademark cases. Susan works directly with CEOs and senior executives, in and out of corporate boardrooms. Her practice has spanned over 30 years across virtually every industry and in most jurisdictions throughout the world.
Susan has received numerous prestigious honors and awards from highly regarded organizations and publications (including Daily Journal, Best Lawyers, Euromoney, Law360, MIP’s IP Stars, and World Trademark Review, among others), naming her a leading California, U.S., and international trademark attorney. She has served as the sole outside director on the Board of Directors of Intangible Holding Companies for a number of highly visible Fortune 500 companies, where she honed her ability to assess and apply legal objectives and business strategies to branding challenges. Susan began her career as an examining attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and has gone on to build a practice that has spanned more than 30 years, across virtually every industry and in most jurisdictions throughout the world.
