Bridging the Gap Between Big Data, Analytics and Decision Making at the Big Data Innovation Summit.
San Francisco, Ca (PRWEB) April 21, 2016 -- A lot of companies take in big data about their company and customers’ spending habits, but they have problems merging all this information to help make decisions to guide the company.
Manmit Shrimali, Co-founder of Dextro Analytics, will present a seminar at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the Big Data Innovation Summit in San Francisco. His seminar is “Bridging the gap between big data, analytics and decision making.”
“There is no such thing as too much information,” Shrimali said. “There is such a thing as not knowing how to use that information. Companies today have massive amounts of valuable data, but they do not know how to distill useful information from it. Organization spends huge on data storage but still use the traditional technique to get differentiating foresight. My discussion will tell people how to pare down too much into exactly enough and leap from insight to foresight using artificial intelligence.”
Companies already know how their customers are spending money. They know what the customers want and buying trends can be predicted. The problem is that information is buried in other data that’s not needed to make decisions about predicting customer behavior.
“That other data is useful for other things. But when you are trying to plan around your customer’s buying habits, you don’t need it,” Mr. Govind said. “I’m going to help companies bridge the gap between too much information and exactly the information a company needs.”
His presentation will cover:
- Distilling information to understand the irrationalities and the uncertainties of the marketplace.
- Finding blind spots in the decision-making process.
- Developing best practices to make a smoother road between gathering information and making decisions.
The conference also features speakers from the US Department of Commerce, Uber, AirBNB and eBay.
“This is an information-packed seminar aimed squarely at people who want to improve their bottom line by understanding the buying public,” Mr. Shrimali said.
