Roger Hamner, a first time author, has completed his new book “The Dream Chasers”: a gripping and potent story of a man who uses other people’s money to become rich. It all goes smoothly until the fraud police become involved!

After being awarded a first class honours degree in chemistry, Roger Hamner worked for four years in a commercial environment and later in the heavy chemical industry. Returning to university, he obtained his Doctorate in Organometallic Chemistry at Leicester University, UK. Since 1975, Dr. Hamner has held senior positions in education, production engineering and commerce. He has founded and managed several successful businesses in many different countries and latterly spent over ten years as an educational consultant and specialist English language teacher trainer in Central and South America. He presently lives in North America with his wife.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Roger Hamner’s electrifying tale is a thrill to the very end. Will Harmon lose everyone’s money; or will they become millionaires?

Roger Harmon, the central player, takes readers on a journey of personal discovery and in the process, exposes the attitudes, mind sets and prejudices of the many characters he meets on the way and offers some fascinating personal philosophical observations. The story moves from its beginning in England to the deserts of Arabia, with a brief foray into China, a longer spell in South Africa and finally into a cold and grey northern Europe, Harmon relates events that are filled with humor, pathos and no small measure of intellectual challenge.

Building on the experience of a failed bullion deal, Harmon has now devised a way to make millions dealing in gold. His plan involves using OPM (Other People’s Money) and being economical with the truth about how he plans to carry out the deal. To follow through with the plan, he enlists the help of a motley group of wannabes: a supermarket owner and his partner, a senior bank employee and a small-time South African gold refiner.

All goes well at first and, while the plan is in operation, Harmon becomes involved in several other intriguing episodes, not all of which have positive outcomes. But nothing ever goes exactly to plan, and the gold deal faces a serious obstacle when the fraud police become involved.

Readers who wish to experience this mesmerizing work can purchase“The Dream Chasers” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
