GetApp has released its ranking of the top 25 employee scheduling applications for Q2 2016. Acuity Scheduling was crowned category leader for the quarter, jumping up from third place in the Q1 rankings. When I Work Scheduling and Deputy made up the remaining two spots in the top three.
GetApp’s ranking of category leaders in the field of employee scheduling software is designed to give small businesses an overview of the top players in the market. Its aim is to help businesses make the right decision when it comes to picking an app to make employee schedules easier to create, edit, and distribute.
The independent ranking is based around five different data points that are assessed by GetApp to give an overall score to each piece of software. Points are awarded for: number of user reviews and average ratings, software integrations, mobile application support, media presence, and application security. Each of these ranking factors carries a maximum of 20 points, contributing to a total score out of 100.
“Acuity Scheduling came out at the top of its field in employee scheduling, earning an impressive score of 74 thanks in no small part to its impressive user ratings on GetApp, as well as its ability to integrate with a wide range of other software in areas such as accounting, marketing, and CRM,” says Suzie Blaszkiewicz, the ranking’s project manager and researcher at GetApp. “Other notable mentions include second place When I Work Scheduling, which dominated with high mobile apps scores, as well as Deputy, coming in at third thanks to a high security score.”
