Choudhury will be responsible for all internal aspects of the company. He will work closely with Founder and CEO Simms Jenkins to manage future growth while maintaining BrightWave’s high client satisfaction rankings, fueling its industry innovation and adding to its unique and established culture. The appointment is effective immediately.
BrightWave has experienced 50% employee growth in the last twelve months. This comes on the heels of 22% revenue growth in 2015 and a strong first quarter of 2016. A true testament to the agency's momentum, BrightWave kicked off 2016 with a 47% revenue increase over the prior year.
Choudhury co-founded Spunlogic in 1998, leading it to become one of the largest privately held digital agencies in Atlanta, GA. It was acquired in 2008 by Halyard Capital to form Engauge. That agency was acquired with its 275 employees in 2013 by Publicis Groupe and then merged internally with Moxie, creating the largest digital agency in the Southeast. In 2014, Choudhury was hired as a turn-around CEO for post-acquisition social ad tech company BLiNQ Media. In that role, he re-stabilized the unit after founder transitions, provided new vision aligned to acquisition thesis and rebuilt technology teams and product differentiation in order to actualize parent company (Gannett Digital Ventures) assets and position value to both suppliers (Facebook & Twitter) and clients.
