The new Getac S410 semi-rugged notebook now provides the highest levels of performance, flexibility, security and durability in a form factor that is 29% thinner and 23% lighter than Getac’s previous semi-rugged laptop.

“The Getac S400 has always been a customer favorite and now Getac has made it even better,” said Stephanie Kreitner Executive Vice President of Group Mobile. “The new Getac S410 offers excellent performance, long battery life, a variety of connectivity options, and noteworthy ruggedness at a very reasonable price.”

Featuring Getac's ruggedized KryptoShell™ case, the new Getac S410 notebook meets or exceeds military standards (MIL-STD-810G) and IP51-certification for temperature, shock, vibration, and drops from up to 3 feet. "Rugged computers are designed to solve problems that users face, improve productivity, and lower the total cost of ownership. The brand new S410 combines the most advanced technologies to provide users with reliable ruggedness, mobility, as well as high-scalability options, making this model a very competitive semi-rugged laptop," said James Hwang, Chairman of Getac Technology Corporation.

The Getac S410 pairs the Intel® Core™ i3-6100U 2.3GHz processor with the Windows® 10 operating system for an incredible mobile computing experience. Getac also offers an option to upgrade to the Intel Core i5, or i7 processors for even greater speed and performance when using processor-intensive applications. The S410 features a 14" sunlight-readable, widescreen display for easy viewing in any lighting condition. The S410 notebook is equipped with Getac’s LumiBond™ 2.0 panel technology; the touch screen is clearly visible even under bright light. Users can also freely switch between touch modes including rain touch, glove touch, and pen mode. Moreover, to ensure uninterrupted power while working long back-to-back shifts, a single battery in the S410 can last up to 11 hours; adding a second battery extends battery life to 22 hours.

The S410 semi-rugged notebook is well equipped with a water-resistant keyboard with an option to upgrade to a backlit keyboard, an integrated webcam, and a Super Multi DVD drive. Connectivity features of the S410 include 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band wireless, Bluetooth®, Gobi™ 4G for multi-carrier wireless use, and a GPS receiver and antenna for mapping and navigation.

To meet the diverse needs of professional users, the S410 notebook includes four USB ports (USB 3.0x3, USB 2.0x1), RJ45, HDMI and VGA (optional) ports for connecting projection equipment, as well as an optional serial port for professional industries requiring special connectors, such as national defense or automotive maintenance. The Getac S410 offers a variety of security features including TPM 2.0, which monitors and protects system start-ups by ensuring the S410 notebook is tamper-free before releasing control to the operating system. Multifactor authentication options, including password protection, an RFID reader, a finger-print reader and a SmartCard reader allow users to take full advantage of Microsoft Windows 10 identity.
