EKU Online Psychology Degree Adds Psychiatric Rehabilitation Concentration
Richmond, KY (PRWEB) April 26, 2016 -- EKU Online is adding a new degree concentration as part of its 100 percent online Bachelor of Science in Psychology program for fall 2016.
This concentration is designed to introduce students to the highly marketable sub-specialty of psychiatric rehabilitation and will offer graduates a competitive edge in the job market.
A concentration in psychiatric rehabilitation provides students with the skills and knowledge needed for a variety of entry level mental health and social services careers. Completion of this program better prepares students to sit for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification examination.
This will be the seventh concentration to be added to EKU’s online psychology line-up. The full list includes:
- Substance Abuse
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Forensic Psychology
- Child and Family Psychology
- Workplace Psychology
- Brain and Cognitive Science
- Psychiatric Rehabilitation
EKU is one of only a handful of universities to offer such concentrations in an online format, providing increased opportunities to non-traditional students, veterans and working adults.
“Our department is always looking for ways to enhance the online learning experience for our students,” said Brubaker. “By offering these concentrations we feel our students will be even more prepared to enter graduate programs and advance their careers.”
Applications are currently being accepted. For more information, visit go.EKU.edu/PsyRehab2016.
