Champ for Breakthrough Achievement in Taste Showcasing Winning Product at 2016 National Restaurant Association Show – Booth #8141

“Our brisket, inspired by Montreal Smoked Meat, is a unique cross of Pastrami and Corned Beef. The smoking and curing process involves almost two months of preparation," explains Aaron Fuchs, Proprietor of Wagshal's.

Wagshal’s has just earned a FABI Award for its USDA Prime Smoked Beef Brisket. Handed out annually by the National Restaurant Association, the Food & Beverage Innovations award honors breakthrough achievements in taste, marketability, creativity and profitability potential in foodservice operations. To celebrate its win, Wagshal’s will be showcasing their beef brisket at the 2016 National Restaurant Association Show, Booth #8141. This largest annual gathering of the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry is slated for May 21–24, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.

With both its popularity and price soaring, brisket is fast becoming a product that consumers are more discerning about securing the highest-quality meat at the best price point. This could morph into a full-time job if not for industry awards like the 2016 FABI Food & Beverage Awards, who have chosen Wagshal’s brisket as the finest in its class.

“We consider our USDA Prime Smoked Beef Brisket to be a genuine labor of love,” explains Aaron Fuchs, Proprietor of Wagshal’s. “Our brisket, inspired by Montreal Smoked Meat, is a unique cross of Pastrami and Corned Beef. The smoking and curing process involves almost two months of preparation. And the luxurious taste and complex flavor that results from our lengthy effort has earned us numerous accolades from both gourmands and the media. We’re especially proud to add the FABI award to that list of laurels given that breakthrough achievement in taste is one of the Association’s main criteria.”

Other influencers are raving about Wagshal’s beef brisket are Zagat’s restaurant reviews, which called it “the bomb,” and the Washington Post, which deemed the USDA Prime Smoked Beef Brisket “so packed with intense, complex flavor that the result is one of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted.”

Attendees of this year’s National Restaurant Association Show are invited to stop by Booth #8141 to taste Wagshal’s award winning brisket for themselves. Interested retailers and media may arrange a meeting with company management by calling (512) 382-6229.
