The Standard Group Streamlines Print & Mail Operations
Lancaster and Reading, PA (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- The Standard Group has completed its multi-year project to integrate and streamline its print and mail operations. Now under one roof, the company is able to achieve greater efficiency in the execution of its print and mail projects.
For more than two decades, The Standard Group’s mailing and fulfillment operations were located separately at the Old Tree Drive location in Lancaster, PA. As increasing numbers of marketers and buyers began requesting more comprehensive print and mail services, the company decided to act on the advantage of bringing all mail into one centralized location at its 500 East Oregon Road facility in Lititz, PA.
“We listened to our clients and recognized their need to execute quicker print and mail initiatives,” said Tom Veitch, CDO and Mail and Fulfillment Executive for The Standard Group. He continued, “The amount of time allocated to processing data and mail shrank by almost 50%, and we need to address this trend of tight deadlines. Many of our clients’ mailings are tied to key events, and it’s crucial that their mail arrives on time and at the most cost-effective postal rate.”
As a result of this move, The Standard Group was able to expand its warehouse and fulfillment space in order to provide more kitting, pick and pack, promotional fulfillment, e-commerce support, shipping and logistics. From this, the company expanded both horizontally and vertically, more than doubling its warehousing and fulfillment footprint.
Tom Veitch further stated, “The completion of this project was timely in that we were able to sign a Fortune 500 company for the warehousing and fulfillment of their sales literature, promotional products and merchandising equipment. By recently doubling our overall capacity, we had more than enough space to accommodate the additional 400+ SKUs.”
