Cornell Hotel Society New York City Hosts Power Breakfast at the Loews Regency New York
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 28, 2016 -- The event, moderated by Arthur Adler, Managing Director & CEO - Americas, Hotels & Hospitality Group for Jones Lang LaSalle, will focus on the past, present, and future of the New York City hotel market. The discussion will be led by both Jonathan Tisch, Chairman of Loews Hotels, and Kirk Kinsell, President and CEO of Loews Hotels.
Tisch is Chairman Emeritus of the United States Travel Association (U.S. Travel), a travel industry lobbying group, a trustee of Tufts University, and a board member of the Tribeca Film Institute. He is a co-owner, a member of the board of directors, and treasurer of the New York Giants Football Team. For six years, he served as Chairman of NYC & Company, the city’s official tourism marketing agency and convention and visitors bureau. In recognition for his leadership and civic involvement, Crain's New York Business named Tisch one of the "Top Ten Most Influential Business Leaders" and was named "CEO of the Year" by the Executive Council of New York in 2006.
In his newly named role as President & CEO, Kirk Kinsell brings more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Loews Hotels & Resorts. Prior to joining Loews Hotels, Kinsell spent 19 years with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) holding several leadership positions. As President, Americas, he oversaw the management of more than 3,700 hotels, and was responsible for development and performance of all IHG hotel brands and properties in the Americas. Kinsell was also President for Europe, Middle East and Africa and served as Executive Director for IHG, PLC.
The Loews Regency New York is the home of the iconic “Power Breakfast”, a term coined by the Tisch Family—founders of the hotel—in 1975.
