Many have followed the progress of Anaren, Inc.’s new products in 2016 – from first announcements at CES 2016, to the crowd pleasing Dino demo at Embedded World from Anaren. Now, IoT World 2016 is a chance to see these unique capabilities in action. The hands-on opportunities at Anaren’s booth will feature the company’s latest “add a control panel” wireless robo-hacks and let attendees experience Anaren’s newest products before they hit the market in early summer. Anaren will share booth #740 with long-time embedded partner, Broadcom Limited. Anaren’s Bluetooth® Smart modules are based on Broadcom's WICED BCM20737 based chip sets and our soon to be mass market released Wi-Fi modules will feature Broadcom Ltd.’s latest “street fighter” product, the BCM43364
“Our modules and MSDK boards are adapted to offer remote control panel access to wirelessly control a number of bots and devices via Bluetooth® Smart and Wi-Fi, in a footprint that puts control and creativity in the hands of the makers,” said Mark Bowyer, Director of Wireless Business Development for Anaren. “Anyone stopping by our booth will see the platforms in action and have the opportunity to experience how simple it is to “offload” the control interface from stock bots to a mobile device, replicating the existing control functionality as well as opening the door to a multitude of upgrades. They are easily added, courtesy of the Atmosphere development environment for local control and Stratosphere for a cloud based control interface. People will be able to try them in real-time.”
Located at booth #740, Anaren IoT World highlights include:
- Live, hands-on demonstrations of the newly released Stratosphere cloud platform software
- The latest MSDK kit for BLE, Wi-Fi, and Anaren’s Atmosphere 2.0 development platform
- See and interact with Dino and other real-time demos of hacks using Anaren platforms
- Experts to help developers modify the Anaren demos and customize their own projects with Anaren products
- Special guest, 2015 IoT World Hackathon MVP Mihir Dani
- Development kits available throughout the show
- The first and final full sneak peek of Anaren’s Wi-Fi module products before mass market release
The company also returns as a sponsor of the IoT World Hackathon. Anaren’s resident “hackspert,” Mihir Dani, who mentored all teams in 2015 and took 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place in last year’s Hackathon will be there, as well as the 2015 Hackathon winner who used Anaren’s Atmosphere development platform and MSDK on his way to clinching the 1st place finish (NOTE: The 2015 winner finally deployed a solution using Wi-Fi that had previously won other Hackathon events). As in 2015, Anaren will be giving away its dev kits to all participants in the Hackathon.
IoT World attendees will be able to see and interact with the platform used for all the projects at Anaren’s booth, and Mihir Dani will be onsite at the booth to answer questions about his projects as well as coach and mentor hackathon attendees about their projects.
