SIGNiX Announces Upcoming Webinar on How to Improve Paper Workflows in Local Government
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- SIGNiX, the leading provider of Independent E-Signatures™, announced today that they will be hosting a free webinar with the County of San Diego’s CIO, Rolf Bishop, on May 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. The presentation will include highlights from the County of San Diego’s nationally recognized and award winning e-signature program, as well as information on how to improve paper forms-related workflows by moving them into an online portal.
The County of San Diego easily implemented e-signatures in 2013, and received an ROI within the first three months, the county now saves $230,00 (and counting) per year. During the webinar, Bishop will walk through the step-by-step process of how they got started and where they are now.
During this free webinar, co-host and SIGNiX business development executive, Paige Adams, will offer advice on how to successfully implement an e-signature program into your processes and how to produce similar results. “I am an expert on the County of San Diego’s use case,” said Adams. “The best part of the County of San Diego’s story is that they have gained so much success by switching only four paper forms to digital. This is something that any county can easily do and immediately reap the benefits.”
The implementation of e-signatures started with an e-signature pilot program for about 3,000 change-of-address forms. Today, the County of San Diego utilizes e-signatures for the homeowners’ exemption form— a form the county processes for up to 36,000 residents each year, the Business Change of Address and Business Change of Ownership processes. Using e-signatures for just these four forms saves the county approximately $230,000 each year in labor costs and in paper-related expenses, like ink, paper and postage.
“The experience has been outstanding. In just the past few months, we’ve received multiple awards for our e-signature program, like the Center for Digital Government’s Digital Government Achievement Award for our online homeowners’ exemption process, which includes using e-signatures,” said Bishop. “It is my hope that these accolades help to share our story and successes so that others in the government sector will consider developing their own digital processes.”
