Parents have until Friday to register students for the statewide, tuition-free virtual K-12 school to be eligible for the 2016-17 school year

Online public school enrolling students for 2016-17 school year through April 29th

Enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year at Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA), the virtual public school serving students across the state in grades K-12, closes on April 29, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Parents who are interested in registering their student during this final week of open enrollment should visit or call 920-993-7076 before Friday.

Wisconsin Connections Academy is an online public school that students throughout the state of Wisconsin attend from home. The school is licensed through the Appleton Area School District and provides a rigorous, quality education that meets Wisconsin state standards. The school provides a supportive learning environment for K-12 students and individualized schedule flexibility. Students also benefit from personalized teaching and opportunities to meet their classmates in-person during numerous field trips throughout the school year.

Reasons for considering virtual education vary; students enrolled in Wisconsin Connections Academy range from athletes with demanding performance schedules to gifted and talented students who benefit from working at their own pace. Others are pursuing community service or careers in entertainment. Others face learning challenges and are more effective in a self-directed learning environment without distractions.

According to the 2015 Connections Academy Parent Satisfaction Survey, 96 percent of parents agree that the curriculum is high quality and 97 percent of parents are satisfied with the helpfulness of their child’s teacher.
