Carmichael Consulting Nominee The Drake House Receives Complimentary Meraki Wireless Network as Part of Meraki-Giving Campaign
(PRWEB) April 28, 2016 -- Carmichael Consulting, an Alpharetta-based Managed IT Services provider and member of the Apple Consultants Network, announced today that The Drake House was chosen to receive a free wireless network from Meraki. Carmichael Consulting nominated The Drake House for the award during the Meraki-Giving Campaign in November 2015. Selected non-profits were recognized for their demonstrated need and ability to maximize use of the technology in their delivery of services.

The Drake House received 5 MR26 APs (wireless access points) with 3 year licenses free of cost from Meraki (a donation valued at approximately $7,000). Carmichael Consulting donated the implementation services.
The Drake House chose to have the wireless access points installed in their main office as well as in the apartments where the mothers and children currently serviced by The Drake House reside.

The Drake House
The Drake House provides short-term crisis housing, education and empowerment programs for homeless single mothers and their children in North Fulton. Immediate housing combined with an empowerment program is designed to provide stability for the children and assist the family in working toward housing self-sufficiency.
The Drake House addresses a long-standing need for emergency housing for women and children in the north Fulton community. We offer housing in 1 or 2 bedroom apartments and in-depth assessments to approximately 40-50 families a year. Each family stays approximately 125 days.
