With the storm cloud of urban development looming over one of L.A.’s favorite circus locations, these clowns decided to throw a big party before bulldozers and wrecking balls make way for condominiums. By breaking a world record, they will bring more fun to the community and more attention to the development of L.A.

On May 29, 2016, in Echo Park, Los Angeles will break the Guinness World Record for largest shaving cream pie fight in the universe. 1,000 people will descend on a 22,000ft² warehouse to throw pies, dance to music, watch world-class entertainment, and celebrate messy goofiness with friends. It will be thoroughly documented on video. This historic pie fight is called “Scot Nery’s Dessert Storm.”

The festival-style event is produced by Scot Nery (“Splendidly Surreal!” – Robin Williams, producer of various shows including Scot Nery’s Boobie Trap), Stefan Haves (who has worked with Cirque Du Soliel for a decade and directed San Francisco’s Teatro Zinzanni), and Way 2 Much Entertainment (which has produced many huge events such as the White House Halloween Party last year and is a master teacher with Cirque Du Soleil’s social program Cirque Du Monde).

With the storm cloud of urban development looming over one of L.A.’s favorite circus locations, these clowns decided to throw a big party before bulldozers and wrecking balls make way for condominiums. The venue has been used by LA’s Derby Dolls, Scot Nery’s Boobie Trap, circus classes and countless rehearsals, events and shows.

This all-ages epic pie battle is open to the public with ticket packages available via Kickstarter until 1pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. (http://kck.st/1qN7CY3)

“Scot Nery’s Dessert Storm” will be funded completely by these donations that will go toward all the various expenses of a large undertaking like this -- insurance, licensing, camera operators, waste removal, security, etc. Due to Kickstarter’s policy, if the event is not funded by May 3, everyone will get their money back and it will not happen.
