Nardello & Co. Expands Asia Pacific Practice with the Appointment of Amie Chang
Hong Kong (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- Leading global investigations firm, Nardello & Co., today announced that Amie Chang was appointed head of the firm’s Hong Kong office. Reporting to Ben Rowse, the leader of Nardello & Co.’s Asia Pacific practice, Chang’s arrival is part of the firm’s expansion in the region and precedes the June 1 opening of its Tokyo office.
Chang, who joins Nardello & Co. as an Associate Managing Director, is a former U.S. diplomat and experienced investigator. In her new role, she will oversee investigations in China, collaborate on other regional and multi-jurisdictional engagements and work as part of the team to further expand the firm’s growth and capabilities.
“We are delighted to welcome Amie to the team,” said Dan Nardello, Chief Executive Officer of Nardello & Co. “As a proven expert with deep experience in our industry as well as her knowledge of geopolitical and security issues in East Asia, she will be an invaluable asset for our clients.”
Nardello & Co. has a robust Asia Pacific practice, and has had professionals on the ground in Asia for over four years. Collectively, the group has decades of experience, and are experts in navigating business, political and cultural realities in Asian nations on behalf of their clients.
Immediately prior to joining Nardello & Co., Chang was a Director in a global risk consulting firm where she managed multiple engagements across Asia. These included investigating Chinese companies in a wide range of industries ahead of their proposed listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; a business intelligence investigation seeking to gain clarity into allegations made against a listed Chinese company by a short-seller report; and a litigation-driven investigation into assets of the founders of a food and beverage chain in Asia and North America.
Commenting on her appointment, Chang said, "I'm thrilled to be joining Nardello & Co., a recognized leader in investigative and risk advisory services both in Asia and across the world. I look forward to assisting clients successfully and sustainably navigate challenges and opportunities in China and throughout Asia."
Chang began her career as an Intelligence Analyst for the United States Department of Defense, where she authored analytic papers on North Korean leadership and foreign policy. She also was a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, initially in Washington, DC and subsequently in Hong Kong, where she monitored regional political and security issues and served as a focal point for multi-disciplinary teams providing analytic support to policy, strategic and tactical customers.
Chang is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Political Science and International Relations. In addition to her native English, she is conversant in Korean, Mandarin and Brazilian Portuguese.
