Alpharetta, Georgia (PRWEB) April 28, 2016 -- SPH Analytics, the leader in action analytics, has successfully completed the CMS qualification process to earn approval as a 2016 qualified clinical data registry (QCDR). The approval allows SPH Analytics (SPHA) to submit quality measures outside the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) for eligible healthcare providers.
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) is being finalized to reward providers for giving better care. The program includes a Merit-Based Incentive Program (MIPS) where physicians, provider groups, and health plans participate in performance reporting programs. SPHA is approved to submit PQRS measures on behalf of eligible physicians and provider groups (EPs) to avoid PQRS negative adjustment. The new QCDR approval allows EPs to satisfy Quality Measure Reporting requirements of population health goals such as optimal diabetes care, optimal vascular care, tobacco free status, and pneumococcal vaccine in COPD patients in preparation for MACRA incentives and other alternative payment models (APMs).
“We are committed to helping all physicians and health plans meet the government’s requirements for quality reporting. Participation in the QCDR program means we can work with more healthcare leaders as they move towards value-based healthcare. As APMs are better defined, SPHA will work to incorporate the requirements that help healthcare leaders improve quality and maximize reimbursement,” said Al Vega, CEO of SPH Analytics.
SPHA has built a portfolio of cutting-edge applications that enable health plans, providers, and payers to measure population health and patient experience with impactful analytics for successful outcomes in the value-based healthcare environment.
