A new piece will highlight the way travel can positively affect youth.

Behind the Scenes is a documentary series that delivers news and feature pieces in a clear-cut way, so Americans can see and understand the issues that are facing them both in their own country and the broader world. With the incomparable voice of James Earl Jones detailing a variety of different topics, this series is proud to be developing a new piece on youth travel organizations.

Young people everywhere tend to do better in life when they're able to take part in activities they enjoy and connect with. Learning to complete tasks as a team while seeing life outside their hometowns provides an immense benefit to us all when they become fully contributing members of society. Supporting these groups and teaching children the value of hard work and discovery is an investment in everyone's future, and Behind the Scenes will let you meet some of the talented people involved at every age. From leaders to new members, see what a dedicated group can do when they take their skills on the road. This piece will be enlightening to those who have never considered a trip abroad for them or their children, but will also appeal to adults and children who have traveled in these organizations.

Behind the Scenes is produced independently from PBS and APT. Segments and topics shown are entirely at the networks discretion, and do not represent their formal views or opinions.
