Eighteen women’s Roller Derby teams will meet at the Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale May 13-15th to compete at Beach Brawl 2016.

This is not your parent's roller derby from the 70's and 80's!

Eighteen women’s Roller Derby teams will meet at the Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale May 13-15th to compete at Beach Brawl 2016. Hosted by the Gold Coast Derby Grrls (http://www.goldcoastderbygrrls.com), Broward’s own roller derby team, the tournament is in its third year. Teams from Canada, Ireland, France, and the United Kingdom will compete against teams from all around the United States.

This is not your parent’s derby from the 70’s and 80’s! But it’s just as rough and tumble. These women are elite athletes who will impress you with their ability, agility and toughness. Women’s roller derby is the fastest growing women’s sport in the world, boasting over 300 teams worldwide.

The tournament begins Friday, May 13th at 9am and concludes Sunday, May 15th at 8:00pm in the showcase bout pitting the Gold Coast Derby Grrls against the Paris Rollergirls. A complete listing of all 32 bouts covering all three days can be found at http://www.beachbrawlrollerderby.com.

Tickets are $15 per day for adults; $10 for children 6 to 12; Kids 5 and under are free. Tickets for all 3 days are $35 for adults and $25 for children. Tickets are available at the event or through the website.
