Chromalox Unveils Heat Trace Control, Monitoring and Power Distribution Skid Packages
Pittsburgh, PA, USA (PRWEB) May 03, 2016 -- Chromalox, a leader in advanced thermal technologies, today announced the availability of fully integrated control, monitoring and power distribution skids for heat trace control applications. The skid systems efficiently integrate heat trace control and monitoring with a power distribution panel, and a transformer on a rugged steel frame.
These skid systems are pre-wired, compact and provide site contractors with immediate plug and play heat trace control capability. Skids can be customized to your specifications for area class, circuit count, footprint, and type of equipment included. Remote monitoring of each system is possible through ModBus communications. Additionally, Chromalox’ ISC supervisory control software provides central control of all circuit parameters across multiple skid systems.
“Pre-wired skid systems simplify the installation process for our customers. It reduces the risk of disrupting plant construction schedules when compared to the field wiring of multiple individual control components,” states Scott Treser, Director of Controls and Panel Development for Chromalox. “These systems can also be preprogrammed at the factory to further reduce start-up and heat trace system commissioning time”, Treser added.
The skids feature either the Chromalox IntelliTrace or weatherTrace control panels and integrate them with transformers and circuit breaker distribution panels on a steel frame.
Available features include remote monitoring with Chromalox ISC supervisory software, ordinary and hazardous area design options, transformers from 15 KVA to 115KVA, and painted steel or stainless steel frames and enclosures. Typical applications for these systems are found in oil & gas, power generation, chemical, petrochemical and mining markets. Chromalox provides extensive engineering support during both the concept and detailed design phase, along with full field support for installation and start-up / commissioning.
