CEO Tom Kellermann and CTO Ann Barron-DiCamillo Join Two Unique Panel Sessions

Strategic Cyber Ventures, the industry’s first cyber-led investment vehicle for synergistic technologies focused on disrupting the adversary, will participate in the first-ever Cyber Investing Summit at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) this week in New York, NY. This all-day conference will explore investment strategies, market outlook, mergers and acquisitions, implementations of cyber solutions in the financial industry, government spending, and more in the rapidly growing cyber security sector.

Global enterprises are sinking billions of dollars each year into cyber security technologies and defenses to prevent the next major data breach. According to research firm Markets and Markets, IT security spending will soar to $101 billion in 2018, and hit $170 billion by 2020.

“Security spending shows no sign of slowing down, nor does the adversary who continues to penetrate and disrupt our networks,” said Tom Kellermann, CEO of Strategic Cyber Ventures. “To thwart these sophisticated cyber attacks, a new breed of disruptive, advanced cyber security solutions are needed to tackle today’s threat environment. We need dynamic defenses that can actually suppress the adversary’s every movement and disrupt the kill chain.”

On Tuesday, May 3, Kellermann will participate in the “Build vs. Acquire” panel session at 1:30pm ET which will discuss whether cyber security companies should develop new features to stop attacks or acquire them. Ann Barron-DiCamillo, CTO of Strategic Cyber Ventures, will moderate the “Spending & Demand in the Government & Military” panel at 2:20pm ET which will discuss possible changes in go-to-market methodologies for cyber products, in light of the government’s enhanced cyber security awareness from programs like the Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) and other similar initiatives, as well as funding being poured into aggressive efforts for IT modernization in the government space.
