City of Carlsbad Deploys Intelex Software to Automate Site Inspections

As part of an initiative to promote community health and wellness while building a culture that embraces change and continuous improvement, the Department of Parks and Recreation at the City of Carlsbad is using Intelex software to automate bi-weekly inspections at over 75 diverse outdoor sites across the City. This includes streetscapes and mediums, trail-heads, parks, playgrounds, beaches and outdoor property at City facilities.
Department inspectors will use Intelex software to log hazards, issues relating to maintenance and vendor performance at each site, while establishing corrective and preventative actions. In doing so, the city intends to streamline and improve its inspection processes, thereby providing better customer service, and enabling a safer recreational environment.
The City will also use Intelex reporting to:
- Track reoccurring issues
- Realize trends in data
- Monitor financial budgets
- Generate vendor performance reports
