Lung Institute Celebrates 3 Years of Helping Lung Disease Patients with Stem Cell Therapy
Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) May 05, 2016 -- The Lung Institute will celebrate its three-year anniversary on May 14 by giving away a free treatment to one person attending a seminar at most clinic locations throughout the month of May. To date, the Lung Institute has treated over 2,000 people at their five clinics across the country.

The Lung institute developed the Your Strength Gives Hope campaign to recognize the patients who believed in the treatment from the start. In a society that's fixated on youth, the indignities of aging can be hard to accept. For those who suffer from a chronic disease, the challenges of growing older can seem unbearable. Living with a chronic lung disease like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death in the United States, presents a host of significant challenges.
There are four stages of COPD. While patients in stage one might not even know they have the disease, people with stages three and four will experience a severe reduction in their quality of life. People experiencing the latter stages of COPD may lack the endurance to take a shower without sitting down or the strength for a trip to the mailbox. Depression can go hand in hand with COPD, since the disease hinders a person’s ability to fully enjoy life.
The Lung Institute seeks to alleviate the challenges faced by people who suffer from chronic lung disease by helping them breathe more easily. A recent white paper summarizing the experience of 100 patients reveals that 82 percent of patients report an improved quality of life after treatment. “Quality of life” means different things for different people. For some, it can mean the ability to take out the garbage or do yard work. For others, it’s a walk around the block or playing golf with friends. In some cases, patients can reduce or eliminate the burden of relying on supplemental oxygen.
