Advanta IRA Holds Seminars: Self-Directed IRAs Can Be the Bank in Private Lending Investments
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) May 03, 2016 -- Self-directed IRAs give account owners control over their retirement funds and investing decisions. A vast number of alternative investments are permissible in these plans, allowing individuals to acquire diverse assets such as real estate, precious metals, oil, gas, timber options, foreign exchange and futures trading, private lending investments, and much more.
Advanta IRA’s seminars on May 6 cover private lending investments in great detail. These transactions allow self-directed plans to perform the same actions a bank or other lending institution does in extending loans for mortgages, trust deeds, secured and unsecured notes, and even for things such as judgments and structured settlements.
“In private lending transactions, account owners determine the terms of the loan extended by their plans,” says Jack Callahan, managing partner of Advanta IRA with locations in Tampa, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. The account holder fully vets and chooses the loan recipient, decides the terms, and has the option to provide a secured or unsecured loan. “Profit from private lending investments is largely gained through earnings on interest rates, the income flowing straight into the self-directed IRA on a tax-sheltered basis,” says Callahan.
Investors of all levels in the Tampa Bay and Atlanta areas are invited and encouraged to attend one of these complimentary events.
Topics attendees learn about include:
• Benefits and risks of private lending
• Types of loans Advanta IRA has seen clients invest in
• Disqualified persons and prohibited transactions
• How an IRA can actually be the borrower on a transaction using non-recourse loans
Early registration is required as seating is limited. There is no fee for either event and lunch is provided.
