Glunz & Jensen delivers a new generation of fully automated plate making systems to the flexo market – FlexLine
(PRWEB UK) 4 May 2016 -- At Drupa, Glunz & Jensen launches their new fully automated flexo platemaking line – the FlexLine. FlexLine is a modular system that integrates the flexo plate washout processor with automated movement of the plate into dryers, light finishers and stacker holding slots.
The FlexLine system is comprised of a high productivity in-line flexo plate washout processor, an integrated dryer tower containing nine (9) separately controlled dryer slots, along with a unique elevator which manages the transport of plate from the processor exit into the dryer slots and onward to the light finisher, before finally delivering the finished plate into one of the sixteen (16) available stacker holding slots.
The platemaking operator only needs to feed a plate at the processor entrance and then retrieve the completed plate at the FlexLine exit slot. A graphical display at the FlexLine exit indicates the plate status for retrieval. Internal video cameras monitor the entire plate handling process. The video images are conveniently displayed on a large flat-panel monitor located at the front of the FlexLine system. Offering virtually unattended automation, the FlexLine ensures a very high level of plate quality and consistency through reduced user intervention, while increasing platemaking efficiency and capacity and reducing overall production costs.
Smallest footprint, modular and expandable, FlexLine can grow as your business grows
Designed as a completely modular system, FlexLine is available in four configurations: FlexLine Dry, FlexLine Compact, FlexLine Standard and FlexLine Max. With floor space at a premium in most trade shops and packaging printers, FlexLine features the absolute smallest footprint (for a fully automated platemaking system) on the market today.
Jacques Dutard, General Manager at Glunz & Jensen Degraf says: “Sales of the FlexLine is really taking off now. The results of the FlexLine show that integration of the individual process steps will not only avoid failure of interference – but also reduce labour cost. We have taken a huge step forward on the automation side – and we will continue to add innovation on top of our line of products, to keep our customers in the forefront of the flexo printing market.”
The FlexLine will be presented at our stand 5C38 during Drupa 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany, May 31 to June 10, 2016!
